This study aims to analyze the dynamics of Generation Z students' experiences in pursuing freelance work amidst academic demands. The study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method through semi-structured interviews with seven students selected using purposive sampling. The results showed that students chose freelance work because of its flexibility, additional income, and opportunities to develop skills and experience. However, they also face time conflicts, academic pressure, and income uncertainty. To overcome these, students implemented strategies such as time management, prioritization, communication with clients, and managing physical and mental conditions. This study concluded that freelance work not only provides economic benefits but also supports the development of students' competencies and career readiness.
